This 10-week After School Rugby Club is delivered by the London Wasps Community Team to create an Active, Purposeful, Enjoyable and Safe experience for your child to play Rugby; and gain from the associated health benefits of physical activity.
The After School Club will run on the following dates between 3.30 and 4.30pm;
Each week, a new skill will be focussed on, to gently build the players up into full Rugby by week 6. Experienced and New Rugby players will be challenged alike by our coaches. The sessions will be designed to ease the children safely into the contact skills that are required in order to play Contact Rugby.
The players will be taught the Laws of Tag Rugby and encouraged to adopt the Fair Play ethos of Rugby. In designing this programme, we have incorporated the London Wasps Community Foundation Grassroots Pillar of Activity main themes:
Physical development - using healthy, enjoyable exercise
Skill development - helping children improve performance levels
Social development - using team games, co-operative skills and fair play
Mental development - establishing and reinforcing confidence and self esteem
All proceeds from this London Wasps After School Rugby Club will be donated to the London Wasps Community Foundation (Registered Charity Number: 1120904). More information can be found by Clicking Here.
